Can't get to you by Ciudad

My parents are having a coldwar. They're not speaking to each other for three days now and im caught in the middle *kase ako yung sabihan nila ng reklamo sa isa't-isa* and i can't take sides (and i myself don't want to) all i can do is listen. Thank God! i'm out of the house the whole day *hirap magpalaki ng mga magulang* tsk tsk tsk hahahahaha! But i do hope they reconcile sooooon. Can't take the air of animosity in the house.

Anyway...went to Sugar Free's anniversary gig last friday and Tumble Dry, Green Planet last night. And here are my gig-kwentos:

August 23 - Sugar Free and Imago at Big Sky Mind

It was my first time to set foot at Big Sky Mind tagged my officemate Joanne to go with me kase sabi niya--"she's in need to rock!" hahahaha! Siya may sabi nun sakin, puro palpak kase sila sa coverage that night. So yun, sinama ko siya at sana she got her dose of "rock" nga. hehehe

Happy to get to watch Sugar Free again! Astig! 3 years na sila at 2 years na akong fan nila :) Tapos dinedicate ni Ebe sakin yung "Mariposa" yeyyyyyy!!! salamat! and we were able to listen to snippets of some songs from their up-coming album YAHOOOO! ALBUM! pero syempre nailang ako dahil ang pulido etc. nasanay kaseng naririnig sila ng live ng 2 taon! hehehehe. I really hope that when their album gets released all their Patience and Hardwork will pay-off! They deserve every success na makukuha nila sa dami pa naman ng pinagdaanan nila.

Happy to watch Imago as well (astig! sobra ng untitled song AT NG version nila ng "Shooting Star" ng Teeth!!! ) Tagal ko na silang di napapanood----na sabi ni Tim, kase daw mas mahal ko yung isang banda. hahahaha!

AND definitely I was also happy to see many friends in that gig last night.

Camille gave me burned copies of albums of Club 8, Air Maimi, and Sleater Kinney. yey!

Owel, let me borrow his VCD copy of "Almost Famous". yey!

Shine, let me borrow his Egg Stone CD. yey!

and Jeff, (sa wakas) gave me a copy of their Pocket Concert (na di ko naabutan) gig last July. yeyyyyyyyyyyyyy!


August 24 - Tumble Dry feat. Ciudad, Fatal Posporos, Itchyworms, 7 foot Jr., Battery at Green Planet

Shine and i met-up again so we can go to Green planet together. hehehe. Rewind last saturday. But before going there, we segued muna to a friend's (Estelle) birthday party. Which i really wanted to go to kase ang dami nang invitation nung batang yun sa kin pero isa pa lang ata napuntahan ko. We met through the mailing list (as usual hehehe) She's ultra nice and friendly, and she calls me "Ate" hehehe. sheesh. i feel old. Sister ko lang dapat tumatawag ng ate sakin. hehehe. So, yun after a while punta na kami Green Planet. Unlike last week, di kami nagkaadventure ni Shine papunta kase nagtaxi na kami----na hindi naman dapat naming gagawin kaso na-sales talk kami nung driver na magtaxi hanggang makati. Nakakatuwa na nakakatakot yung pagka-chikadora nung driver ng taxi. He would open the lights kapag haharap siya samin kapag may kinukwento siya at may kinuwento pa siyang one time daw may nasakay syang gusto makipag-sex sa kanya. Actually dun, natakot na kami parang isip namin: "ba't mo yan kinukwento samin, mama? ayaw po naming marinig yan" hehehehe. Pero siguro ganun lang siya. Di naman mabilis metro niya or ano man eh. Wala lang sigurong kumakausap sa sa kanya sa bahay nila. ehehehe.

Anyway, ang saya-saya nung gig. Astig! semi-acoustic lahat. Eerie yung place pero wide siya sa loob at sobrang lamig! Pero pinaka-special sa lahat---->Ciudad played "CAN'T GET TO YOU" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! whaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh at syempre denidicate sakin wahooo! hehehehe. What made me really happy kase ayaw na nila tugtugin yun pero they played it tapos with the hand gestures pa!!! syet! Lakas ko daw sa kanila and I should treasure daw that kase once in a blue moon ko na lang talaga maririnig yun. hehehe *hay* Slept still smiling. hehehe. babaw.

Mikey gave me a chopsuey cd, yay!
