Eraserheads: Outside
I'm here at my Tita's house. Haven't been home since going to work yesterday (yup! i have work on sundays, pba game eh) reason: sobrang baha samin ngayon! Decided na dito matulog kagabi instead of literally swimming my way to our house. Totoo. Seen the news?
Last night, not only did i walked from Aurora Blvd. to Santolan in the middle of the night in the pouring rain just to find the right bus home, i even got stucked in the bus i rode for 3 damn hours due to the traffic caused by the freakin' high floodwater around the CAMANAVA area!!! (woohooo! cities pala ehhh...city my ass! masama loob ko everytime na isusulat ko na city ang Malabon! tangina!!!) The flood was really high, the bus i was riding had to go all the way to North Express Highway back to Valenzuela. As in bus na yun ha, inuurungan yung baha dun sa normal na dinadaanan nya. grabe. Actually, it's not even the normal route i take when i go home, i just had to take that kase yung sa "normal" na dinadaanan ko unpassable na siya by any kind of vehicles except a BOAT! I got out of the bus at quarter to 12 and di na nagbalak pang i-try umuwi samin instead went straight to my tita's house.
Today, i didn't go to work, hello! ala ako balak ma-stranded uli pauwi. I still can't get back to our house kase malaki pa rin daw yung baha. Kailangan pa akong sunduin ng bangka sa may palengke samin. Tsaka dito muna ako, nasa computer shop pa din monitor namin sa bahay eh, getting fixed ;p
By the way, last saturday also sucked. My stubborn self insisted that despite the heavy rains and flood---i should still go to Robinson's Metro in Cainta to catch the Pocket Concert i was so much looking forward to since last week. *Sayang naman pinag-halfday ko* So i thought ulan lang yung magiging problema ko papunta dun, di pala. Basta something came-up at nagkagulo-gulo lahat ng plano by the afternoon. So instead of going straight from the office to Cainta, i had to pick up Camille sa Galle (mahabang storya bakit), yung FX na dapat sasakyan namin sa harap ng Galle took forever na mapuno (and Emma was texting us na start na yung concert) so we decided na sa Cubao na lang sumakay ng FX going to Cainta (we had to share a small umbrella and walk pass the flooded side walks). When we FINALLY got to Robinson's Metro---CIUDAD JUST FINISHED THEIR LONG SET!!! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! *Nakakatuwa talaga* kase we got there "exactly" as they were UNPLUGGING their intruments. ANG SAYA-SAYA! kahit isang note wala kaming narinig. I almost cried of extreme disappointed. Totoo. Ok lang sana kung di bumabagyo that day eh. Tapos of all the days na pwedeng sumabog yung socket ng nag-iisang matinong may tape recorder na stereo sa bahay napili pa nya nung saturday din. So di rin nakapag-record sister ko and i don't think may kakilala akong mahihiraman na nagrecord nung concert na yun sa NU.
O well. Karma ata eh, nagsinungaling kase ako ng reason why i needed to have my halfday that saturday.
Pag-uwi ko pa ng bahay sobra ng baha-baha samin tapos may work pa ako kinabukasan.
Pero it wasn't all that bad, napanood ko Eraserheads (i loooove their new songs, excited na ako sa EP, their sound got fresher), got a Death Cab for Cutie galore CD from Mikey, Not Radio was live at pinatawa talaga ako nung chinese guy na kumanta ng "It's a Nice Day" ng Salteens ba yun? and i was able to catch Ciudad's set from Summer Shebang sa UNTV (thanks sa text ni Marilyn) just in time.
Yun.
